CHICAGO — Continuing with the back-and-forth nature of Saturday's wild contest between the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals, Tony Kemp powered out a 2-run shot in the bottom of the seventh. The dinger gave the Cubs an 8-7 lead at Wrigley Field.

Marking the second pinch-hit homer of the afternoon for the Cubs, Kemp tallied his eighth dinger of the season on a fastball thrown by Cardinals reliever Giovanny Gallegos. The shot sailed out to center field and plated Ben Zobrist, who doubled earlier in the inning.
