CHICAGO — After compiling three RBI against the Atlanta Braves in the series opener on Monday, Chicago Cubs catcher
Willson Contreras remained hot at the plate against the visiting Braves by hitting a 2-run double at Wrigley Field on Tuesday. Giving the Cubs a 2-1 lead, Contreras smacked the 2-bagger into the left-field corner in the bottom of the fourth.
Coming against Braves starter Max Fried, the go-ahead double hit down the left-field line scored shortstop Javier Baez and first baseman Anthony Rizzo. Contreras continued to show out after the heated moment between him and Braves catcher Tyler Flowers took place on Monday. Since Flowers interrupted Contreras' conservation with the home-plate umpire, "Willy the Beast" has racked up five RBI versus the Braves. That is quite a chip Willson has on his shoulder...
