Cubs News: Willson Contreras rehab update

Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras will begin his rehab assignment at Single-A Myrtle Beach and play on Thursday and Friday games there according to multiple reports.

Contereras was placed on the disabled list on Aug. 11 with a hamstring injury but it is looking like he could be in uniform for this weekend's series against the Brewers.

Before his injury, he was named National League Player of the Month in July for hitting 10-for-22 with five homers and 12 RBIs. Since the All-Star break, he is batting .311 with 10 homers and 29 RBIs.
