The Chicago Cubs will play a spring training game against the Cincinnati Reds at 2:05 pm CT on Friday afternoon.

However, Cubs star first baseman Anthony Rizzo will be missing his second straight game because of tightness in his lower back. He is listed day-to-day with the injury and the Cubs expect him to play on Saturday. Good job by the Cubs to take precautions on this injury so it doesn't become a lingering problem in the regular season.

Chris Dominguez will take his place at first base.

Rizzo batted .292 with 32 homers, 109 RBIs, and had an impressive .385 on-base percentage in 2016.

In other injury news, Cubs infielder Tommy La Stella is back in the lineup after battling a tight hamstring for the last few weeks.
