The Cubs won their first World Series since 1908 and it's not time to stop celebrating Cubs fans.

Mesa Mayor John Giles said on Tuesday that a rally for the 2016 World Championship - Chicago Cubs will be thrown on Friday, February 24 from 12 pm to 4 pm, by the city of Mesa at Sloan Park.

"Outside the city of south Chicago, this city and this group of people are among the most excited people on the planet with the success of the Chicago Cubs," Mayor Giles said.

The Cubs are 16 days away from the start of spring training as they begin their long journey to defend their World Series crown.
