The Chicago Cubs won their first World Series win since 1908 and fans were elated partying up and down Wrigleyville and throughout the country.

Sadly, a sophomore mechanical engineering student named Kyle Leeney has passed away on Monday from falling from a light pole outside a bar in Iowa City celebrating the win according to the Associated Press. He was taken to the hospital but passed away on Monday.

Our condolences go out to the friends and families from this tragic event.
