Legendary Cubs player Ernie Banks passed away last year at the age of 83 and was not able to relish his Cubs making it back to the World Series this season. He was only 14 years old the last time the Cubs made the Fall Classic back in 1945.

Banks was a 14-time All-Star in his Hall-of-Fame career as he batted .274 with 2,583 hits, 512 homers, and 1,638 RBIs

One Cubs fan went to his gravesite and put a newspaper down to share the news that the Cubs are in the 2016 World Series.
