Cubs prospect named Midwest MVP

The Midwest League announced on Tuesday that Cubs prospect Eloy Jimenez was named the league's Most Valuable Player, Prospect of the Year, and of course end-of-season All-Star.

Jimenez was batting .337 with 38 doubles, 12 homers, 77 RBIs, 8 steals, .532 slugging percentage, .910 OPS, 218 total bases in 108 games with Class A South Bend.

The 19-year old five-tool player is currently the Cubs #2 prospect and #28 on MLB.com's overall prospect rankings.
