The Midwest League announced on Tuesday that Cubs prospect Eloy Jimenez was named the league's Most Valuable Player, Prospect of the Year, and of course end-of-season All-Star.
Jimenez was batting .337 with 38 doubles, 12 homers, 77 RBIs, 8 steals, .532 slugging percentage, .910 OPS, 218 total bases in 108 games with Class A South Bend. The 19-year old five-tool player is currently the Cubs #2 prospect and #28 on MLB.com's overall prospect rankings.
