Cubs News: Ian Happ placed on DL

The Iowa Cubs have place Ian Happ on the 7-day disabled list with a bruised left thumb. Happ was batting .250 with 8 homers and 17 RBIs so far this season including a grand slam off the video board for his last homer.

Happ is rated as the Cubs No. 2 prospect and No. 24 in the MLB.

Happ has the spring-training star this year, hitting .417 with four doubles and five home runs.
