Cubs News: Kyle Schwarber tweets about death of Jose Fernandez

Marlins standout pitcher Jose Fernandez has passed away in a boating accident. Authorities found a 30-foot boat overturned that had crashed into rocks off Miami Beach around 3 am EST, and three people were found dead according to multiple reports.

Cubs injured catcher Kyle Schwarber tweeted his sadness over news of Fernandez's passing on Sunday morning.

"Shocked and saddened seeing the news this morning," Schwarber tweeted. "Thoughts and prayers go out to family, friends, and Miami." #RIP Jose

Fernandez was only 24-years old and prayers out to his family and everyone in the Marlins organization.

Today's game against the Atlanta Braves has been canceled.
