REPORT: Two Iowa pitchers to be called up by Cubs

Iowa Cubs pitchers Felix Pena and Rob Zastryzny will be called up to the Chicago Cubs on Friday according to multiple reports.

Zastryzny has a 4.33 ERA as a starter in 81.0 innings at Triple-A Iowa this season. He could be used as a spot start if John Lackey has be placed on the disabled list. Zastryzny is the first Theo Epstein drafted pitcher to reach the major leagues for the Cubs and was scratched for his Thursday start so he could be ready for the big-league transition.

The 26-year old Pena has a 3.41 ERA with three saves in 63.1 innings giving up only 46 hits and 24 runs. He will more than likely be used out of the bullpen to give the Cubs some added depth.
