The Texas Rangers claimed Cubs lefty David Rollins off of Waivers on Tuesday. Rollins was not on the Cubs team long as he was claimed from the Mariners on November 18.

He was 5-0 with two saves, a 3.77 ERA in 37 relief appearances in 2016 with Triple-A Tacoma. The southpaw last season spent big league time with the Mariners for the second year in a row, going 1-0 with a 7.71 ERA (8 ER/9.1 IP) in 11 relief outings.

He was drafted by the Mariners in the 2014 Rule 5 Draft.
