The Chicago Cubs are currently looking for viable options in center field with the departure of veteran leadoff man Dexter Fowler.

MLB insider Bruce Levine reported on his Saturday show 'Inside the Clubhouse' that the Cubs were interested in Padres outfielder Travis Jankowski.

The 25-year old batted .245 with 13 doubles, two triples, and two homers last season. He played 87 games in center field last season but also has experience in the corner outfield positions. For his short MLB career, he has batted .238 with four homers, 24 RBIs, and an on-base percentage of .315.

He made his major league debut on 8/21/15 against the St. Louis Cardinals and went 2-for-4 with a RBI and was selected in the first round of the 2012 MLB Draft.
