Report: Cubs want a bowl game at Wrigley Field

by - Senior Editor -

Cubs President of Business Operations Crane Kenney told the Chicago Tribune that they intend to host an annual bowl game by 2020 after all of the neighboring renovations is finished.

"Concerts that may not sell out elsewhere sell out at Wrigley," Kenney said. "It's because of the ballpark, Wrigleyville, Chicago, the history. It gives us confidence that a bowl game will succeed here."

Wrigley Field is already set to host Northwestern football games again in 2020.
