Rizzo drives in first World Series run for Cubs since 1945

by - Senior Editor -

Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo crushed a RBI double to right field to score Kris Bryant to put the Cubs up 1-0 in the first inning of the World Series.

This is the first run scored by the Cubs since Peanuts Lowrey in 1945. Teams that have scored first in the postseason are currently 12-0 this season.

Cubs fan John Cusack was obviously happy with the RBI double by Rizzo.
