Cubs News: Rizzo sends signed jersey to family of 'Rizzo the Dog'

by - Senior Editor -

Cubs slugger Anthony Rizzo was on Good Morning America show last week to give a glimpse to fans of the 2016 World Series trophy. During the telecast, GMA was trying to get different dogs adopted including one called 'Anthony Rizzo' who was a 1-year old American Foxhound.

Rizzo promised whoever adopted the cute dog that he would send them a free signed jersey from him.

"We need to get that one adopted," Rizzo said. "I guess whoever adopts that one I'll somehow reach out and I'll get them a signed jersey or something. So you get a free dog and a free jersey signed by me."

It looks like Rizzo followed through on his generous promise on Tuesday.
