WATCH: Anthony Rizzo crouches down, blasts 430-foot rocket

by - Senior Writer -

CHICAGO — On a windy evening at Wrigley Field, Anthony Rizzo hit the first of potentially many Chicago Cubs home runs on Sunday. The first baseman crouched down and barreled a 430-foot dinger well over the center field wall off St. Louis Cardinals starter Dakota Hudson.

Cubs starter Jon Lester gave up a solo shot to Cardinals third baseman Tommy Edman in the top of the first, and Rizzo answered with his rocket in the bottom of the first. The turbulent wind aided both long balls, which carried out of the park with ease. Rizzo now has nine homers and 18 RBIs on the season.
