WATCH: Contreras nailed his 8th homer of the year

Cubs catcher Willson Contreras smacked his 8th homer of the season in the Cubs' 6-3 win over the Padres on Wednesday.

The homer left Contreras' bat at 103 MPH and went 390 feet with a launch angle of 26 degrees according to Statcast.

“That was loud,” Maddon said to reporters of Contreras' eighth home run. “That was really loud.”

He is batting .271 with 8 homers this season.
