Cubs News: Kris Bryant scratched from Tuesday's lineup

Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant was scratched from Tuesday night's lineup against the Mariners because of right knee soreness. This is an injury that he has dealt with previously and something that needs to be monitored the rest of the season with occasional day-offs.

Manager Joe Maddon doesn't think it's too bad.

“A little hitch on the giddyup. I don’t think it’s awful," he said about Bryant's injury.

For the season, Bryant is batting .280 with 26 homers and 64 RBIs.

Ian Happ will now get the start and replace Bryant at third base.
