CHICAGO — Taking matters into his own hands, Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Jose Quintana tacked on an insurance run in the Cubs' contest against the Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field on Friday afternoon. With a 2-out RBI base hit, Quintana increased the Cubs' lead to three runs.

Quintana, who now has two RBI on the season, put the Cubs up 4-1 on the Brewers with an opposite-field single that plated Cubs catcher Willson Contreras from third base. The base knock to right field came with two outs in the bottom of the third against Brewers starting hurler Zach Davies.
