ESPN has released his latest MLB Power Rankings on Monday and the Cubs are currently holding the #1 spot with a 39-16 record and currently sitting in first-place in the NL Central with an impressive 9.5 game lead over second-place Pittsburgh.

"Jake Arrieta saw his winning streak of 20 straight decisions end on Sunday, falling four short of the MLB record," ESPN said. "Despite dropping both games that Arrieta started, the Cubs went 5-2 on the week."

The top 10 teams in the rankings were the Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, Boston Red Sox, Washington Nationals, Texas Rangers, New York Mets, Seattle Mariners, Baltimore Orioles, Pittsburgh Pirates and Cleveland Indians.

The Cubs rival St. Louis Cardinals were ranked #13 in the rankings which made three teams in the National League Central in the Top 13.
