José Quintana makes his first Wrigley Field start since the Cubs acquired him from the White Sox on July 13. In his first outing as a Cub, July 17 at Baltimore, he tossed 7.0 scoreless innings while allowing only three hits, walking none and striking out 12 in Chicago’s 8-0 win.
The Cubs will be going for the series win over the rival St. Louis on Sunday night and have emerged from the All-Star Break with a 7-1 record (.875), the top mark in the majors.
