by -

CHICAGO – The Chicago Cubs return to Wrigley Field for a 10-game homestand featuring visits from the St. Louis Cardinals May 3-5, Miami Marlins May 6-9 and Milwaukee Brewers May 10-12.

Cubs Charities will kick off a month of giving with more than 30 events taking place throughout Chicago communities, involving Cubs players and Cubs associates. The month of giving officially begins Friday, May 3, with a Cubs Scholars surprise at a local high school, followed by the Archer Park Diamond Project ribbon-cutting ceremony and leading into the weekend, Sunday, May 5, with the Cubs Charities Youth Baseball and Softball Festival, a free public outdoor festival that will include several promotional giveaways and baseball activities including playing with current Cubs players. The festival is part of Major League Baseball’s “Play Ball Weekend.” Additional activations during the weekend include Cubs players wearing “Let the Kids Play” T-shirts during batting practice and a group of youth athletes will “Take the Field” at each starting position during Saturday’s pregame.

As part of the month of giving, fans are invited to spend a glamorous “Night Under the Stars” at the Ninth Annual Bricks and Ivy Ball Thursday, May 9, at the Aon Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier. Guests can enjoy specialty cocktails and an elegant seated dinner alongside Cubs players, coaches, alumni, front office executives and ownership. Proceeds from the event benefit the Cubs Charities Diamond Project. Limited tickets remain available at www.cubs.com/bricksandivy.

On Friday, May 10, Xfinity will host an activation at Gallagher Way before and during the game. The activation will include photo opportunities, lawn games and charging stations. The Cubs offer expanded free Wi-Fi service powered by Xfinity available throughout the ballpark and Gallagher Way using the network labeled "XfinityWifi@Wrigley." Fans can learn more at www.wrigleyfield.com.

On Sunday, May 12, the Cubs and Advocate Health Care will “Pink Out” the Budweiser Bleachers once again to promote breast cancer prevention awareness while celebrating all survivors. Fans in the Budweiser Bleachers will receive a pink T-shirt. Breast cancer survivors will participate in festivities including holding a giant pink ribbon flag in the outfield, ceremonial first pitches, meeting Cubs players as they take the field at each position and leading the 7th inning stretch. Players also will wear pink hats, socks and a special ribbon patch on their jerseys for Mother’s Day.

Food and Beverage Offerings:

The Cubs and hospitality partner Levy are bringing locally sourced, chef-driven menu items to Wrigley Field, including pork tenders, beer can chicken sandwich, short rib disco fries, Wrigley house chips and more. For more information, visit www.cubs.com/food.

Hot Doug's returns with its rotating selections on Platform 14, located behind the center field scoreboard in the Budweiser Bleachers. Served this homestand are the Jody Gerut, a Cajun andouille sausage with Cajun mustard, caramelized onions and Swiss cheese; the Paul Popovich, a Mexican chorizo sausage with spicy salsa and pepper jack cheese; and the Glenallen Hill, a spicy Vienna Beef Polish sausage with honey mustard, sauerkraut and smoked Gouda cheese.
