The Chicago Cubs are known to have yearly mottos and slogans since the hiring of veteran manager Joe Maddon.

Fun mottos for the Cubs have included 'We are good' (2015), 'Try not to Suck' (2016), 'That's Cub' (2017), 'Everybody In' (2018), and now 'Own it Now'.

"A big part of our success this year is going to be the fact that we own each moment," Maddon said during Tuesday's first press conference of the season. "And if you take the word ‘now’ and turn it around, it becomes ‘won.’"

Maddon is in the final year of his contract with the Cubs and has 387 wins as the manager on the North Side.
