Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant is out for the second straight game against the Pirates on Sunday afternoon.

Bryant self-reported a few symptoms to the medical staff including a terrible stomach ache which forced him to go home early on Saturday.

Cub manager David Ross told the media Sunday that Bryant has gotten two straight negative tests for COVID-19 as they continue to take all the necessary precautions as a team to try to curtail any outbreaks.

"Kris is feeling good," he said via ESPN. "He took a test this morning, came back negative."

Bryant won't be available for today's game as they are following MLB protocols when someone self-reports symptoms.

He will probably be eligible to play on Monday or Tuesday at the earliest depending on his test that comes back tomorrow.
