Cubs manager Joe Maddon announced on Monday afternoon during press interviews that veteran Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta will start game 2 of the World Series against the Cleveland Indians.

In two postseason starts, Arrieta has pitched 11 innings giving up 12 hits, six runs, a walk, and ten strikeouts.

Arrieta was 18-8 with a 3.10 ERA with 190 strikeouts and a 1.08 WHIP in the regular season.

Jon Lester will get the nod for Game 1 of the World Series. The Cubs full rotation has now been set with Lester, Arrieta, Hendricks, and Lackey.
