All-Star, has become one of the most dominating pitchers in baseball over the last two seasons ... since the beginning of 2015, he has gone 40-14 with a 2.39 ERA (113 ER/426.1 IP), a pair of no-hitters and a .189 opposing batting average...Went 22-6 in 33 starts in 2015 and his 1.77 ERA (45 ER/229.0 IP) was the lowest for a Cubs qualifying starting pitcher in 96 years since 1919, when Pete Alexander had a 1.72 ERA...Received 17 of 30 possible first-place votes in the 2015 N.L. Cy Young vote, garnering 169 points ... the Dodgers Zack Greinke was second with 147 points. w Became the fifth pitcher in Cubs history to win the Cy Young Award, the first in 23 years since Greg Maddux took home the honor in 1992 ...
