The Chicago Cubs (18-18) will play against their rival St. Louis Cardinals (20-15) at 1:15 p.m. CDT on Sunday afternoon at Busch Stadium televised on WGN-TV.

Veteran pitcher Jake Arrieta will take the mound for the defending World Champions and be opposed by veteran Adam Wainwright. Cubs elite prospect Ian Happ will make his second straight start for the Northsiders. Kris Bryant (stomach) and Ben Zobrist (back) are still out with injuries.

Cubs manager Joe Maddon currently has 999 career wins and will try for 1000 wins for his career.

The Cubs are currently in fourth place in the National League Central behind the Cardinals, Reds, and Brewers.
