Selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 26th round of the 2011 Draft out of Mesquite High School in Gilbert, Arizona... signed with the Orioles on Aug. 15, 2011... Milwaukee Brewers traded LF Gerardo Parra to Baltimore Orioles for Davies on July 31, 2015... was ranked as the Orioles' No. 3 prospect by MLB.com when he was traded.
2014: Spent entire season with Double-A Bowie and ranked among team leaders in strikeouts (1st, 109), wins (T-1st, 10), starts (2nd, 20) and innings pitched (T-3rd, 110.0)...Twice named Eastern League Pitcher of the Week (June 16-23 and July 28-August 4)...His 10 wins tied for the fourth-most among Orioles minor leaguers, while his 109 strikeouts ranked fifth in the system...Fell just 5.0 innings shy of qualifying among league leaders, where his 3.35 ERA would have ranked third among O's minor leaguers and seventh in the Eastern League...Struck out a season-high 10 on April 28 at Richmond...Did not pitch from April 29 to May 29 due to shoulder tendinitis...Did not allow a run over a three-start stretch from June 16-27, over which he went 3-0 while allowing five hits and four walks with 16 strikeouts in 19.0 scoreless innings...Went 6-2 with a 2.75 ERA over his final 10 starts of the season...Went 3-0 with a 1.75 ERA (5 ER, 25.2 IP) in seven starts for Glendale in the Arizona Fall League...Struck out 23 while walking 10 and held opposing batters to a .205 average (18-88)...Rated by Baseball America as the #6 prospect in the Orioles system after the season...Rated by MLB.com as the #8 prospect in the O's system entering 2015 season.
2013: Finished second in the Carolina League with 132 strikeouts and fifth in strikeouts per nine innings (7.99)…Threw the third-most innings (148.2) and made the third-most starts (26) in the Carolina League…Allowed the fifth fewest baserunners per nine innings (11.26) and walked the fourth fewest ba tters per nine innings (2.30) in the Carolina League…Finished 10th in ERA (3.69, 150.2IP, 61ER) in the Carolina League…Posted a 2.48 ERA (29.2IP, 8ER) in five starts in June, fanning 27 batters in 29 innings.
2012: Finished 10th in the South Atlantic League in ERA (3.86)…Also led the Shorebirds in strikeouts (91) and finished tied for the team lead in innings pitched (114.1).
